  Anybody else similarily immature like me and break stuff occasionally when angry?

  i'm currently without a cellphone after reading a text message that made me play twist and internally shout with my cell phone.

  been a while since i did something this retarded but it did feel good and natural at the time.

  i went to bestbuy for a new phone and decided i dont want to talk with anyone right now anyway.

  No Poppies in America on Remembrance Day

  i was surprised to hear this today.. poppies are not a big deal in the usa .

  remebrance day (also known as poppy day or armistice day) is a memorial day observed in commonwealth countries since the end of world war i. to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.. "in flanders fields" .

  The poppy is used in Australia too.

  I've never heard of an Australian store having a veteran's day sale. To associate retail consumerism with the death of our diggers would spark a riot.

  Your English is fine. Better than some native speakers of English, in fact.

  The very first time I met up with other exJWs or exiting JWs I was soooo scared of meeting someone who would recognise me and snitch me out to my local elders!! But there were a couple of very nice people there who had left and had no interest at all in talking to any elders. And a couple of them I am still in touch with 12 yrs later.

  Take precautions if you chose to meet up with others. Maybe use an email that doesn't reveal your real name or where you work. Don't be intimidated into revealing too many personal details to others. Be vague but friendly.

  Quick question, did you feel lonely at the meetings even though you were part of the action?

  just curious, something i've noticed only lately.

  i'm in the mix within the congregation, stay late after the meeting is over, converse with quite a few people afterwards, make plans for saturday and sometimes sunday service and yet i feel so awfully alone walking to my car afterwards.

  i feel lonely when i'm talking and laughing with people after the meeting.

  I thought at first it was because I was single, but I think it is deeper than that. As the others said, it's the superficial friendship that ends as soon as you walk out the Hall.

  Any Elders comments on latest idea about Sisters

  just finished our 2 day and one of the talks by the do indicated that single sisters in the congregation are to be subservient to all male brothers in the hall..as well a widow too is of the same "status".

  is this a new thought or just now an open secret?.

  personally, i dont think that is good - after all there are many elders who although, supposedly appointed by hs, can be personally involved with porn behind closed doors or nasty with his wife and family.. i personally know of two like that .... why should i listen to a "stranger" about my life?
